Aye Mon Myanmar
Professor Aye Mon is a Consultant Surgeon at Ar Yu International Hospital, Yangon, and an Honorary Professor at the University of Medicine (1), Yangon. He previously served as Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery at the same institution, contributing significantly to surgical education and training in Myanmar.
Professor Aye Mon obtained his MBBS in 1987, followed by a Master of Medical Science in Surgery in 1995. He was awarded the FRCS (Edinburgh) in 1999, a Diploma in Medical Education in 2010, and became a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (USA) in 2011.
He currently serves as President of the Myanmar Gastroenterologic Surgical Society and is the former President of the Myanmar Surgical Society and former Vice-President of the Myanmar Endoscopic Surgical Society. Professor Aye Mon is widely recognised for his leadership in gastrointestinal and endoscopic surgery, and for his lasting impact on surgical practice and education in the region.
